Lectures were delivered by a guest specialist from Israel — Michal Simchen, M.D., an expert in maternal-fetal medicine, Director of Obstetrics Departments, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Sheba Medical Center (Israel).

Triage is a system for prioritizing medical care for victims, particularly in mass casualty scenarios, including:

• Road traffic accidents
• Aviation and railway disasters
• Fires, explosions, and building collapses
• Terrorist attacks
• Hospital overloads or evacuations
• Mass gatherings
• Technological and biological incidents
• Extreme weather conditions (blizzards, tornadoes, etc.)

The training included a practical exercise, simulating a road traffic accident, during which participants conducted medical triage of the victims independently.

This was my first experience in medical simultaneous interpretation, and it was a true professional challenge: requiring high concentration, accuracy, speed, and specialized terminology.
But projects like this are what make us stronger and broaden our professional horizons.
